Unified Experience Across Devices and Platforms
The platform engaged Mikado to address three key needs: designing user interfaces for both Apple and Android, creating car infotainment systems for CarPlay and Android Auto, and redesigning their mobile app. The challenge was to craft a cohesive, user-friendly experience that maintained the platform’s brand identity while aligning with each platform's unique requirements and guidelines.
Challenges
Designing Seamless Experiences for On-the-Go Users
As a leader in digital audio entertainment, the platform needed to ensure the user interface was functional, intuitive, and easy to use across various devices. For Watch OS, we had to ensure icons were well-placed for smooth navigation, while the car infotainment system needed a safe, one-handed design for in-car use. Meeting the strict guidelines for both Apple and Android platforms posed a significant challenge, but we were committed to maintaining a unified, user-friendly experience across all touchpoints.
Process
Transforming Vision Into Seamless Experiences
We began by conducting extensive research to understand the specific behaviours of Watch OS, car infotainment systems, and mobile app interfaces. Our team carefully studied the guidelines of both Apple and Android platforms to ensure alignment. Once the research was complete, we proceeded with wireframing, prototyping, and designing tailored architecture, typography, and iconography. The design process also included adding custom illustrations, animations, and thorough testing to ensure a flawless user experience across all devices and platforms.
Solution
Effortless Interaction Across Devices
Adhering to both Apple and Android guidelines, we implemented a minimalist design approach for the Watch OS. We customized icons and features to ensure symmetry, visibility, and easy access with standard gestures like tapping, swiping, and glancing. This design maximized user convenience, allowing for seamless interaction even while on the move, ensuring that users could easily navigate through the app without any hassle.

User-Centric Design Focusing on Mobility
We designed intuitive CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces with a focus on clarity and mobility. By using large, easily recognizable icons, we ensured seamless navigation while driving. Our design team adhered to both Apple and Android's strict guidelines, delivering a user-centric experience. Additionally, we collaborated with our animation experts to integrate dynamic interactions, further enhancing the overall usability of the car infotainment system, allowing users to enjoy a smooth, engaging experience without distraction.

We revamped an outdated mobile app by addressing UX and UI challenges. The team incorporated micro-interactions to enhance responsiveness, usability, and engagement.
