Mikado was tasked with revamping the existing OTT news service to enhance the user experience across various TV operating systems, such as Android, Apple, and Roku. The objective was to design and develop an intuitive, clutter-free interface that guarantees a premium news streaming experience, regardless of the device or platform used.

The client sought to provide a seamless and enjoyable news-watching experience across different operating systems. The existing TV interface lacked key user-friendly features, such as the ability to preview program schedules or add them to a calendar, leading to user dissatisfaction and platform abandonment. Mikado's challenge was to create a unified experience that addressed these issues while adhering to the unique guidelines of each platform.

Mikado tackled the challenges by implementing a data-driven design strategy, using animations to create a dynamic and engaging news platform. We focused on improving features such as category navigation, live schedules, and upcoming shows, addressing previous clutter and ensuring seamless navigation across various TV operating systems. Following the redesign, we provided two months of post-launch support, including UI testing and quality assurance, to ensure optimal functionality.
